Share The Love

Aren't they just so sweet?
Falling in LOVE is a norm for all human beings. The same goes to orang utans. They too fall in love and have their mating partners. But how do they fall in love? Do they go on dates? Well, in a way they do.
Orang utans show interest in one another by looking at each other out of the corner of their eyes. Their interest for their partner is also obvious when they pass a hand over their head and make a high pitched sound. The other orang utan knows exactly what is meant and can respond to this gesture if it is interested. Orang utans have good tastes too! ;)

What about friendship? To show close friendship, they greet each other by gently placing their finger in the other's eye. Complete trust is shown and this is a way for the orang utans to say "I love you" just like we do to our loved ones :)
